I’m listening to the radio show right now and I just heard Bill talk about intarsia. That makes me smile. I like that I can tell him about Stephanie and Vickie meeting in an airport bathroom, and he gets what I’m talking about. Nice.

I’ve just added my “In Case of Fire” stash to Ravelry. If you got to take some yarn with you during a fire, what would you take?

Costume Time

The kids have told me what they want to be for Halloween this year. Ella wants to be Jane Goodall, not a problem. But Liam wants to be a hairy eyeball. Any suggestions as to how to come up with a costume for that!

I was up way too late working on the gloves. Here’s a peek:

I’ve got one good glove and then the monkey glove that I should just rip out. I’d like to do another if possible. We’ll see. Right now I just want to sleep. Well off to work I go.

Austin Rocks!

Austin was so much fun. Totally worth the 24 hours of travel to and from compared to the 46 actual hours in Austin. Crazy, but worth it.

I’m madly trying to finish the gloves for the store. I’m not thrilled with the first one. I’m having some gauge issues. As I’m looking at the glove right now, it looks like it’s proportions are for a monkey. I’ll spare you a photo. But I tried out some cuff possibilities last night and I’m liking those. This WILL work out.

I’ve had to mostly put down the Tangled Yoke for a bit so I can get the damn gloves done. But I’m nearly ready to start the yoke. Still going well.

I work with a bunch of temptresses and I had to buy these the instant I got home last week. They were waiting for me yesterday. Haven’t used them yet, but I love them. So smooth, so pretty.

Am I crazy for loving the Woodins? They’re so weird.

I’m off to Austin for a Meltdown.

Oh, and Ravelry is the best time-suck ever.

Does anyone have some recommendations to Portland, OR or Seattle yarn stores that I really shouldn’t miss? I know this is way in advance, but I’m getting so excited about our Portland trip next March.
