The kids have told me what they want to be for Halloween this year. Ella wants to be Jane Goodall, not a problem. But Liam wants to be a hairy eyeball. Any suggestions as to how to come up with a costume for that!

I was up way too late working on the gloves. Here’s a peek:

I’ve got one good glove and then the monkey glove that I should just rip out. I’d like to do another if possible. We’ll see. Right now I just want to sleep. Well off to work I go.

  2. HAHAHAHHAA, I was Jane Goodall three years ago!! I had a clipboard with data (pictures of chimps), a backpack and cargo pants and tons of stuffed monkeys safety pinned to my clothes. It was good, but no one at UMass got it. Sigh.

  6. Hmm…you need some sort of large ball that won’t deflate…if you can find that, just glue fiber to it…after painting a eyeball on it of course.
OR, they have those m & m patterns, where you’re basically squished between two round pillows. Make that and glue fiber/yarn to it.

  8. cardboard frame. I can show you how to make one. it involves cardboard strips, lots of those brass push-opener thingies whatever they’re called. It creates a round frame that you can slip over the head, with attached shoulder straps to hold it up. When I was a kid we were a family of pumpkins.

  12. Hey – I know where you can get some great “eyelash” yarn for Liam’s costume. Bet I can swing you a sweet deal :)
