My First Sleeves

Last day of vacation, and I’m up to the sleeves on my Nothin’ But a T-Shirt.

This is Day 22 and I think we’re all ready to be home. Hopefully we’ll be home by late afternoon. That should leave plenty of time for mowing, unpacking, laundry, and buying groceries. I leave for the airport the next morning (insanely at 3:30 am) to pick up Mike and Jenn and family. But I’ll be back in time for a yarn field trip with my friend Amy (and others) to Colorful Stitches and Wonderful Things. Some may think this all sounds a bit crazy, but I’m excited for it.

One quick NBaT update before we get on the road this morning. I’ve finished the body of the T and now I’ve begun the sleeves. I’m not sure of the order of seaming, sewing in the sleeves and knitting the neckline. I may be making a call to someone while on the road today for some help, if I get to that point.

I’ve just tried on the body to see if it’s even close to the right size. Oh boy! I’m going to love this shirt. It’s so soft and fits so nicely, and talk about comfortable. I almost don’t want to put on the sleeves. This would make a great tank top. I would love it so much more than Soleil. By the way, I wore Soleil the other day, and I did not love it. I kept fiddling with the bottom hem rolling, and I kept double-checking to make sure everything was staying in the top of the tank. So I’m not sure what I’m going to do with this top. I think I will at least add another crocheted row around the neckline. That may help. But I expect to be buying some more Calmer yarn in the future for a tank.
