Finished Project-Snow Day Mittens
Project Specs:
Pattern: Valley Yarns Pattern #134: Super Bulky Mittens
Yarn: 2 balls of Rowan Biggy Print color 250.
Needles: US 11 double points
Pattern Alterations: My gauge must have been way off because these mittens didn’t look anything like the ones in the store. They’re much more narrow and I had to add two rows to the hand and thumb. But they probably actually fit me better than if my gauge was correct. Happy mistake.
I’ve been annoyed that I don’t have much time to knit now with the new job. And when I am knitting, it’s been something for the store or others. So I took advantage of the snow day yesterday and whipped out these mittens in no time, all for me.
And let me just say that we have the best neighbors ever. The neighbor next door cleared the sidewalk on our street last night. And this morning while Bill and I were shoveling out the VERY HEAVEY AND DENSE snow from the end of our driveway, the neighbor across the street came over to help out. I love our little village.
