Knit Picking

OK, I’ve been using the Knit Picks Options needles well over a month now and have discovered a few little issues.

1) I’ve been enjoying the needles so much I ordered more tips and more cords. But the holes and keys of the new cords are larger than my original set of cords. So the new keys don’t fit into the old cords. A little annoying, but I can work around it.

2) The holes of some of my new cords are rough around the edges so my stitches have been catching. I haven’t tried filing the roughness down yet. So that might work.

3) Last night while knitting, my stitches were catching again at the cord/needle connection. I thought it was the rough holes, but it was actually the purple cord coming out of its screw end. I pushed it back in and it’s been fine. But now I’m worried that it’ll come completely out sometime.

Hmm, I’m bothered. But otherwise, I do love the needles. The tips are wonderful. But I’ve heard the Addi is developing a pointier version of that Turbos. So…we’ll see.

  2. that’s the exact problem i’ve been having. i thought it was because i wasn’t screwing my needle tips in tight enough. other than that, i love the needles.

  4. If you tell them that you are having the problem with the ends coming unglued, I’ve heard they will send you replacements, no questions asked. Worth a shot, right?

  6. I love your site!! What an incredible productive person you are! ANNNNDDDDD you have two young kids…
I love coming across people like you that inspire.

How long have you been knitting? I was just in Vermont camping at Maidstone Lake and had a lot of time to myself so I went to St. Johnsbury in search of a knitting project. Hard to come by good felting books, so i ended up in New Hampshire in a great store Creative Natives, where a wonderful woman briefed me on felting.

I knit something (a trial sqare) and not much happened. What yarn do you recomend? i will try to put it in the wash again, but I really want to try a purse like the ones in Pursonalities- the great ones you made.

Here is a key question- Do you watch tv?
    Thanks for your site!
