International Scarf Exchange
With all of that holiday knitting finished I was finally able to start my International Scarf Exchange scarf this month. I’m using the Midwest Moonlight pattern from Scarf Style with Elsebeth Lavold’s Silky Wool in a lovely deep purple.
Paranoid that I wouldn’t finish the scarf by the deadline, I made a row-by-row chart marking which row I needed to be on by which days. Thankfully I’ve been able to keep up and I’m nearly 2/3 done now. There’s been very little unknitting with this lace scarf, but I do have to concentrate while working on it. I’m enjoying the yarn quite a bit. It’s got a nice drape and texture. I may need to consider using this yarn in future projects.

I love that shade of Silky Wool! I’m using it to make a lacy scarf as well (Knitty’s Branching Out).
I now know why you are a professional knitter. And I thought I was innovative with my index cards for cables!

Lovely, lovely lovely! I adore this yarn, and think it drapes like a dream, and looks fabulous. I’ve made many lace scarves out of it. Brava! Beautiful job, and your ISE pal is going to totally LOVE it!
