Glove Do-Over
Nona’s second installment of her i-cord glove tutorial came out this week. I couldn’t wait to finish all ten fingers before moving onto the next step. So with eight fingers done I joined four of them.
Hey, they look pretty good. Even the holes between the fingers weren’t too bad.
BUT, three of the four fingers were TOO long. After trying on the “glove” again this morning, I know what I need to do. I need to rip it back to the fingers and shorten six of the eight fingers. Oh well. Maybe with the second try, the holes between the fingers will be even smaller.

Your finger joins look terrific! Isn’t that a neat way to join the fingers without having to graft stitches. Too bad the fingers were too long — hopefully it will be easy to fix. Let me know if you think I should shorten the finger lengths in the pattern.
It looks great! I’m so glad you got some holes too! In the end I think my holes weren’t so bad – but I still have to start over. I think I might rip back a row or two on my fingers as well before I join the all together again.
Wonderful job – the yarn is terrific!
It looks so good! But now I’m worried I made my fingers too long as well. Yikes.
The construction of those gloves is so cool! I’m going to have to try that sometime. I like your dino sweater below too…I vote to keep it as is! Your felting projects look great too (catching up on my comments in one fell swoop!). Happy knitting Friday!
What a cool way to make gloves! I’ll have to try it sometime…after I’ve caught up on my ‘wish’ list (in about 30 years) ;o)
Where did you get the pattern for the VERY GORGEOUS stranded bag?
