Look, I Have a Pinky!
Thanks to Nona’s I-Cord Gloves Tutorial, I’ve got the beginning of a glove.
(mouseover to see the “ladder.”)
I’ve got some lovely Art Yarns Supermerino from Webs this morning. I was just too excited about trying out an i-cord finger. I’ve never made gloves or mittens before, but this seemed like such a neat technique for the fingers. I did discover that after closing up the ladder, the pinky got a little shorter, something to keep in mind as I figure out how long to make the other fingers.
One or two fingers a day and I’ll have gloves in no time.

Good lord, in the back-side picture it looks like that needle is going straight through your finger! Are you okay?
It looks great! Fabulous yarn choice.
That is just too cool.
Great job with your pinky! I love the way you show both sides of the pinky with the nifty mouseover trick. I look forward to watching the rest of your glove evolve.
Ooooh, Artyarns! I don’t know if you mentioned that you needed something similar to Koigu, but Artyarns is the best sub Webs to offer. And look at those pretty stripes!!
Great start! I’ve never attempted gloves yet; one day I’ll take the plunge.
I LOVE your engagement ring (?). Is it vintage? Just gorgeous.
