Finished Project: Sugar Maple Socks

Project Specs:
Pattern: Sugar Maple by Melissa from her soon to be released book 2-at-a-Time Socks
Yarn: experimental color of Valley Yarns Franklin
Needles: US 0, I like a firm gauge for socks.
Size: Medium

Easy to follow pattern, great yarn, and a perfect fit. I think I’m finally interested in knitting socks again since I lost most of my interest after the bad heel incident. I do have to say that it takes me more time to juggle two-at-a-time socks than it does for me to knit them separately and count rows to make them even. I think I’m a one-at-a-time on one circular kind of sock gal.

Oh, I picked up the new Cat Bordhi book and I’m really excited about it. I think I’ll be taking some of my leftover sock yarn and making some of the baby socks throughout the book. It’ll help me get my head around some of those crazy sock architectures.

  4. Love your socks. I have this book too but am having trouble at the heels. Can’t seem to do them right.
