Project Specs:
Pattern: Felted Box from Mason Dixon Knitting
Yarn: Nature Wool Chunky, colors 113 and 127
Needles: US 10.5 circulars, size H hook
Size: small, 4″ x 4″ x 4″ before felting, a little shorter after felting
Pattern Alterations: no handles

I left work yesterday with some of the Nature Wool. And this morning I thought I’d knit up a Felted Box from Mason Dixon Knitting. This was a really quick knit. Ella was so interested in it that she wanted to start her own box. (She’s working on an orange one now.) After knitting, I tossed it in the front-loader with my stranded felted bag and some shoes. My goodness! My felted bag got much more felted. I didn’t know it could. But the box didn’t felt that much. It’s a little shorter which I expected. But I know I’ll be making more of these boxes. It was such a quick project and what a good way to use up scrap yarn. Next time, I’ll use bigger needles and possibly felt it twice. I would want this box stiffer.

I really like the subtle color change in the Nature Wool. I will definitely be picking up more.
