OK, they are finally done. My sewing machine kept trying to die on me. The thread broke a lot, and I was having a lot of problems with loose and uneven stitches. I think it’s time to have someone look at the machine.

But now that they are done, I feel so good. And I can stop focusing on all of the mistakes. Why do I keep trying to take on projects like this when I hate to sew? It’s so stressful.

Now it’s time for a big glass of wine and to think about how I’m getting the four other holiday gifts done on time.

  4. Wow, gorgeous. There’s a good sewing machine shop up rt. 9 in Williamsburg. They’ve moved around a lot in the last few years but they’ve been here forever…they used to be downtown, back when it wasn’t so chi-chi. I’m forgetting the name, but it’s on the right as you head toward Burgy; just a bit past the lumber mill. I love the fact that they hold circs and dpns as well as straight needles. I haven’t seen ones that hold all three. Excellent!

  18. Hello! I am working on a holiday gift for a friend of mine who is a knitting fanatic. I am sewing a carry-all bag for him and would like to put in it a needle case just like the great one you’ve created here! Would you be willing to share your pattern with me?

If so, kindly e-mail me at sgreichen@gmail.com

    Thanks so much!

  22. Hi, I found your site when searching for “knitting needle case pattern”. I work with 6 women and started a knitting class. They are so thrilled to be knitting, out 1/2 hour break turns into 1.5 hours and our Director is the one having the most fun!

She travels a lot and is knitting scarfs and practicing her skill. I thought it might be nice to make them each a knitting needle case for a Christmas present.

I would be willing to pay for your pattern and make note of it on my blog with a link. You could sell it for $5 or similar.

What do you think? – Susanne
